Sometimes you just hope to hear that it was just an april's fool joke,
but since it's april 4 I think that Edd Gould, Eddsworld creator, is really dead.

I will really miss your cartoons and your sense of humour, thank you Edd.

I lately discovered that being on NG was not so important for me:
It was natural: I got tired of flagging and writing reviews and my newspost were months away one from another.
Lately I stopped voting for the best submissions for the month and I realised I just wanted to play some new game, from time to time.
I guess no point retribuition sistem or rank progression can stop such process: if you are not a flash artist or a game programmer sooner or later you discover you have many things to do more intresting than being an active member of a flash community.

Leaving NG? That is not the point, since you can just come and take a look around sometimes.

Tom Fischbach is a good artist and webcomic maker, take a look at:

you can see his fantasy-manga developing through years (and you can also see how an artist little by little raises his drawing skill to reach his storytelling talent).

In the past weeks Tom was not updating his story so often as usual and he explained to his fans that was mostly because of his father's illness. Some days ago Tom's father died.

I don't know if he will work on on his webcomic or what he will do, all I know is that you should take a chance to discover his work as a comic artist.

I think that's the closest thing to a big friendly hug you can give him.

8-26-08 add: Tom is updating his comic once a week and I guess this means that despite his hard times he's keeping alive his wonderful creation.
